Here goes...

I'm about to do something silly/odd/slightly obnoxious. I'm going to ask for help. From. You.
Yes.
This could quite possibly be a post that gets me nowhere and nothing. And if so that's totally fine. Really. But there is that tiny possibility that this post could bring me great joy. Possibly. I hope.
Ok. Here goes.

A story for you...

Once upon a time there was a girl with hair of red and a love for clothing. (yours truly) In the fall of 2008 she stumbled into a wonderful story in the wonderful town of Irvine CA. She browsed the clothes with a friend named Bob Dylan (or Coco-- whichever you prefer) and as she looked at a great many of dresses she came across something. Beautiful.
A blue dress with a embroidered gold trim and at that moment it stole her heart. But of course a dress always looks better on the hanger... so little ms. red-head tried it on. And again it stole her heart in a tiny dressing room in a tiny store in the town of Irvine in Southern California.

Be warned. This story is also a tragedy.

Rumor has it the price on said dress was high. Too high.
And so Red and Bob Dylan left the store and continued on their way.
But this girl had that dress on her mind for many many moons.
She returned to the store looking for the dress and the sales clerk literally laughed at her when she asked about it (Rude). So in a sense she gave up hope and tried to move on. Tried

Until she thought of a rather strange idea that could possibly involve a great number of people. Her idea to find this long lost dress? Blog about it.

So here we go. I obviously am the red head in search of the blue dress. I would love to find it and own it. But I need your help. Below is a picture I took of this wonderful dress before we parted ways. And it's the only clear description that I (and YOU) can go off of.

So there we have it kids. A tragedy that could possibly turn out to be rather wonderful. (I HAVE HOPE!) I don't expect any of you to go on the hunt for this dress, I've already done it and it's frustrating + tiring. I would only humbly ask that you would keep your eyes open. That's it. And if by chance. By the Grace of God you find this wonderful lump of fabric that you let me know where I could find it. That's really all I ask. Tell your friends. Tell your mom. Heck tell your man if you want to... the more people on board the better!

Thanks for your help ladies & gents. I have hope.

Here she is! (The dress not the read head)

Headless horsemen.

... Oh and one more thing. I understand that to many of you would find this dress to be totally and completely horrible/ugly. I understand that not everyone is going to love it. That's fine! but please don't let that stop you from looking for it! Helping people is a good thing! Helping Red heads is a great thing!
