"to the waters edge"

Every summer I ask my parents for a pool...this summer I told my mom I would be satisfied with a kiddy pool with pictures of hello-kitty or Japanese cartoons on the bottom of it. I would fill it up with water from our backyard hose and let it sit and warm in the hot Camarillo sun. I would get in it and enjoy H2O and sooner or later my sister would walk out and laugh at the sight of a 20 year old in a bikini sitting in a pool that was made for a two year old in diapers. There would be a brief photo shoot where I would flash a peace sign and my summer would continue in that way. Yeah I have a dream.
