You were a high school shepherd and someone I've missed in the past year.
Things changed once you drove up sometime after I walked up.
I was all too grateful for the missed call and the fellowship.
To hear to talk about the worst and see you smile.
I love that I know whose side I'm on now.
old roots.
There was a lot of hope that I was finally able to rest in.
I couldn't really rest before as I spoke with you under pine trees and near bell towers.
There was silence then and apologies.
I'm just glad that you're past that.
I find myself resting in your quiet stories and your perfect analogies.
To know that you're gonna be ok.
With or without tea.
