important things i learned today:

it is wiser to buy basil at Trader Joes than albertsons

wine will always make me sleepy

my mother and i hate tomatoes but today we have fallen madly in love with bruschetta.

for over a year now my mother and i have been telling ourselves and one another that we would sit down and watch Julie and Julia after making bruschetta from scratch and enjoy our day.

today was that day. we did it. it may not sound like much but the task of making my mother watch of movie instead of do something domestic is a challenge. she wants to relax but rest does not always come easy to her. bless her.

of course watching Julie & Julia made me want to blog like a madwoman... so here i am.
