bears and chairs

Lets drive home from Bible study and have a family meeting .oh yes. and lets sit and talk about our days. the good and not good and lets listen to the warm wind in September and make comments about the whether .oh yes. and then lets pull out a blanket and lay it in our front yard. We'll lay down and look up and enjoy the warm wind in September and the power is out which makes our sky all the more better and all the more brighter.oh yes and the police man drives by and his spotlight strikes us. But he'll keep driving. and as I make my way back into the house after goodnight kisses I realize that this is the reason why I stayed. This is why I'm here.

Before I jump in my loaded Ford escape & make my trail to the mountains I will leave you with this...
My life is hilarious and never ever predictable

this week has been ridiculous to put it lightly and beautiful to put it truthfully. So I'm going to the mountains~~~To start breathing again.

key to happiness

I bake when life gets crazy... Simple as that, and this night was no exception. but. like always it was the most perfect remedy.

KEY-factors to having a lovely evening... when life isn't all that lovely.

1. Family
2. Friends.
3. Key-lime Pie

Gingerbread walls
on the off season
short & shout
breaking 'bread'
always supportive.
never blurry.
sacrificial lambs.
Silver pressed
juiced.
I have a strange
tendency
to keep eggs in my
"marsupial pouch"
while baking
A Balancing act...
Good & Bad.
White & Yoke
Ms. Hilarious
herself decided to grace us with
her presence... we were delighted.
obviously!
So... I took a break
and enjoyed her company...
& a Lime Margarita!
Chatting about
a great many things...
Jesus being the greatest,
the trials He allows
and the Grace He provides...
Moral Support
at it's finest!
Tart pan
Tasty Pie
(can be served cool... or warm!)
Warm? Who knew???
the little (faithful) bird
on her perch.

"but now I'm following"

Nostalgia is nuzzling into this room and it seems to me that I have little control of it's presence.

I'm considering the coming matrimony and the previous fight.
the coming occupation and the previous season.
the coming day and the current heart ache.

If I had it my way i would remain in this room and daydream about what's to come. This shabby chic quilt would support my thoughts. this is what it was made for-- days like today.

little did she know when stitching these squares that it's very presence would be all the more lovely in the fall of 2010.

Good enough for me...

When I was in school(only about 5 months ago) I had a dear friend who would make me the best pretzels from scratch. To say the very least they were AMAZING!
Today I tried to give them a try... and... well... this dear friend has a much better hand at them than I do... I guess I'll stick to pastries : )

However making them was a ton of fun and regardless of how I made them turn out baking was the perfect remedy for a day like today.

Give them a shot!
